Villareal, Spain – Hollywoodbets and LALIGA provide an update on the ongoing
success of four players from South Africa’s Hollywoodbets Super League 2022
season, currently on a unique training experience in Spain. Boitumelo Rabale,
Nthabiseng Majiya, Nompumelelo Nyandeni, and Katlego Moletsane are soaking
up the rich experience of Spanish football culture as they train alongside some of
Spain’s finest players at Villarreal CF.
Since their arrival on 27th January 2024, the players have engaged in intensive
training sessions, immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of elite-level
women’s football at Villarreal CF. Adding to the fullness of their experience, they
also had the privilege of touring the historic Estadio de la Cerámica, a stadium with
over 100 years of history.
During their time in Spain, the players have also had the unique opportunity to
meet Eric Bailly, Villarreal CF men’s first team player and Ivory Coast
international. Bailly expressed his delight to meet the South African players,
stating, “It is very nice to see these ladies here. Villarreal is one of the best clubs in
Spain. For me personally, it is always great to see African players here in Spain
and gaining exposure at the highest level. I wish them luck in their careers.”
Nthabiseng Majiya shared her excitement about the trip thus far, expressing, “I feel
wonderful and excited about my opportunity to go to Spain, as it is my first time
visiting the country. I am gaining valuable experience and learning new things
from the best in the game.” She emphasized the significance of the trip for
assessing her skills and identifying areas for improvement to elevate her game.
